At a press event on Wednesday, Apple unveiled the new iPhone 14 series, three new Apple Watch models, an update to its well-known AirPods product line, and a function that could save lives when there is no phone service. It was widely expected by analysts that Apple would increase the cost of the pricier models by $100.

Ben Wood, chief analyst at market research firm CCS Insight, said: “It is noteworthy that Apple has maintained year-on-year pricing parity on the new iPhone 14 devices in the US.” We had predicted that inflation, rising production and component costs, as well as additional expenditures like higher shipping, would force Apple to raise its retail prices. For Apple, getting people to upgrade their gadgets—especially the iPhone, which continues to be its flagship product—is always fraught with peril. This year’s work may be made more challenging by general economic unease, such as worries about an impending recession.

Better than the first generation, the new AirPods Pro offer six hours of listening time on a single charge. Now that it can produce noise, both the casing and each pair of headphones are design to aid in finding it. Additionally, the volume may be adjust by lightly swiping up and down on the headphones.

The company claimed to have developed a quick text compression technology to shorten messages that typically take 15 seconds.
