The upcoming Google Tensor and Exynos chipsets are being developed by Samsung. With the Pixel 6 series, Google debuted its own Tensor chipset, which it has since improved for the next generation of Pixel devices. The South Korean IT behemoth is now working with Google to create and early test its third-generation Tensor processors. The third version of Tensor, with the development board known as “Ripcurrent,” is reportedly under test by Google.

The third-generation Tensor chip has the model number S5P9865, which is consistent with earlier Tensor chips’ designs. According to the article, Tensor 2 is anticipate to have the model number S5P9855, just as Tensor 1 did. A different allegation by GizmoChina, Samsung is also creating Exynos 1380 processors in addition to Google’s.

The Exynos 1380 chipset is purportedly being developed by Samsung.

It is anticipate that the  Exynos 1380 chipset would replace the Exynos 1280 processor.  Samsung Exynos 1280 is the mobile platform use in the Samsung Galaxy A53 smartphone.  Samsung, however, has not officially announced any information regarding the creation of the new chipsets.

The Google-Samsung collaboration is ongoing.

According to the article, Samsung’s Exynos processors’ 5nm node technique served as the foundation for the original Tensor chip. According to the article, a closer examination of the Google chip will reveal the similarities. The Pixel 8 series, according to the source, will almost certainly debut in 2023 alongside the third generation of Google Tensor.

The article claims that Samsung is one of the few suppliers Google has at the moment for its Tensor chips. The report claims that the corporation can learn how far the processors can go if it collaborates with other chipmakers like MediaTek and Qualcomm.

The first Tensor chip’s connectivity capability was unable to compete with Qualcomm’s newest chipset, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform. Additionally, the Google chip had some heating problems and was inefficient.

According to the study, the third generation of the Tensor chip should close the gaps and provide an experience similar to that of the Snapdragon platforms.
