Instagram’s latest feature: Public accounts now allow you to download Instagram reels

Instagram has finally rolled out the ability to download reels from public accounts. This means that you can now save any reel you see from a public account to your camera roll. This is a major update for the app, as it has been one of the most requested features by users.

Here’s how to download reels from public accounts on Instagram:

  1. Open the Instagram app and go to the reel you want to download.
  2. Tap the three dots in the bottom right corner of the reel.
  3. Select “Download” from the menu.
  4. The reel will be downloaded to your camera roll.

This feature is only available for reels from public accounts. If you want to download a reel from a private account, you will need to ask the account owner to make it public.

Instagram has also added a new setting that allows you to control whether or not your reels can be downloaded by others. You can find this setting in your privacy settings.
