WhatsApp New feature edit captions for media messages

WhatsApp New feature edit captions for media messages

WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature that allows users to edit captions for media messages on Android and iOS. This means that you can now change the text that appears below a photo, video, GIF, or document after you have sent it.

To edit a caption, simply tap and hold the message until you see a menu appear. Then, select “Edit Caption”. Make your changes and tap “Save”.

It is important to note that you can only edit captions within 15 minutes of sending the message. After that, the caption will become uneditable.

This new feature is a welcome addition to WhatsApp, as it allows users to correct typos or make other changes to their captions without having to resend the entire message. It is also a useful way to add more context to a media message or to change the message’s tone.

The edit caption feature is currently being rolled out to users gradually. If you don’t see it yet, make sure that you have updated WhatsApp to the latest version.

Here are the steps on how to edit captions for media messages on WhatsApp:

  • Open WhatsApp and go to the chat where you sent the media message with a caption.
  • Tap and hold the message until a menu appears.
  • Select Edit Caption.
  • Make your changes to the caption.
  • Tap Save.

The edited caption will be sent to all recipients of the message.
